It is hard to see in the pictures but this wagon is as tall as the truck next to it.

And diesel.

There is a lifted new Beetle TDI down the road from me. It’s awesome.

I saw a lifted Jetta wagon too one day. It was silver though. I tried taking pictures but it was in someone’s driveway and it didn’t look lifted in the pictures.
Is this a thing people do?

I know some of the MkIV people have done this using combinations of Euro “rough road” suspensions (maybe 1/2” lift) and some 1” pucks, then you can add more with wheels/tires. But this is even more impressive...except for the weird positive camber issues.

It is. This guy’s website has some pretty cool examples, mostly MKIIs but there’s other stuff in there. http://frankenbuilt.com/cars.html
Maybe the best endorsement of his work are the trips he writes about, most of them 1,000+ mile hauls. He took a few cars from California to Alaska at one point, getting high 20s MPG.

I wish I could have gotten more pics but I felt weird taking detailed pics of the suspension setup but the shocks looked super extended.

If there is a car you can guarantee someone is lifting it.

The inside wheel gains positive camber on a MKIV Jetta the more you turn the wheel, but this is definitly more camber than normal.

The stance crowd needs someone really advancing the art in a different direction.
